Setting Up Thermal Printing and Fall-back Solutions in the Kitchen

🖨️🖤 To ensure a smooth order management workflow in your kitchen, we recommend using a thermal printer that supports the EPSON protocol. This includes models like EPSON and Sam4S. The printer should be connected via USB to the tablet stationed in the kitchen.

Printer Requirements

  • Brand/Protocol: EPSON or compatible (e.g. Sam4S)
  • Connection: USB
  • Placement: Directly connected to the kitchen tablet

Fall-back Printing Solution

In case of printer malfunction or connectivity issues, a paper-based fall-back system should be available. Menutech provides all necessary documents, including:

  • Order summaries
  • Order cards
  • Reports

These can be downloaded at any time using a mobile hot-spot and printed manually.

This setup ensures your kitchen can continue operating without disruption, even if the primary thermal printer is unavailable.
