Write a menu
Once you click on New menu, you will be redirected to the 1. Write screen. There, you can do the following:
- Preview your menu
- Load a preset
- Change your menu settings
- Add content to your menu
- Add details to your menu
- Add a cover page to your menu
Take a (video) tour through the write screen.
👀 Preview your menu
Keep an eye on how your menu looks like by clicking on the Preview your menu button. You can flicker through the pages of your menu, print it and download it.
📦 Load a preset
Loading a preset will allow you to fill in your content (section, dishes, beverage and/or wine names) inside a predefined structure. Once you have loaded the preset of your choice, you can always add or delete lines.
⚙️ Change your menus settings
You can change the overall settings of your menu:
| Menu settings | Where to find it |
| Menu name | Change your menu's name (internal use only) in the white bar above your menu. |
| Menu language | Change your menu's language inside "Menu settings". This is the menu's main language and you can add translations in a second step. |
| Menu currency | Change the currency shown on your menu inside "Menu settings". You can change the currency format in the Style screen. |
| Menu date | Change your menu's date inside "Menu settings". You can choose to display your menu's date in the Style screen (e.g. for Daily specials or a Weekly menu). |
| Custom numbering | Add custom numbers to your dishes, beverages or wines (e.g. for quicker order-taking). |
You can change the content settings of your menu:

✏️ Add content to your menu
Click on the blue boxes (e.g. "+ dish" or "+ section") to add additional lines to your menu. When you click on the grey or blue list icon, you can add further information to your menu's content:
| Important: Information added in the "Other" tab of the popover will only be saved for that specific line on this menu. It will not be retrieved when you re-use that dish, section, beverage of wine in other lines of the menu or in future menus. |

📄 Add details to your menu
The following information will be displayed on your menu for your guests to see:
- Title
- Subtitle
- Wine recommendation
- Text at the end of the menu (e.g. opening times, contact details)
- Price for the complete menu
- Footnote (e.g. VAT, service charge)

Add a cover page to your menu and use your free text editor to add text, change colours add images.
