What happens to my credits if I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?
↗️ If you upgrade your subscription in the middle of the term
For example:
- You start a €15 subscription Mini on June 1st. You can write 1 new menu per month.
- You change to a €30 subscription Maxi on June 15th. You can write 12 new menus per month.
What happens to the Mini credits you purchased on June 1st, valid from June 1st until July 1st?
- If you pay by direct debit, then we will create a one-time charge over the difference of the current subscription and the new subscription relative for the remaining time period of your current subscription.
- If you pay by credit card, then the extra charge is prorated: the extra amount will be invoiced at the next invoice date together with the new subscription amount.
If you paid by direct debit, you will be charged €30 - €30/2 = €15 on June 15th. The Maxi subscription will renew itself on July 1st.
If you paid by credit card, you will be charged €30 + €30/2 = €45 on July 15th. The Maxi subscription will renew itself on July 15th.
↘️ If you downgrade your subscription in the middle of the term
For example:
- You start a €30 subscription Maxi on January 1st. You can write 12 new menus per month.
- You change to a €15 subscription Mini on January 15th. You can write 1 new menu per month.
What happens to the Maxi credits you purchased on January 1st, valid from January 1st until February 1st?
- When downgrading a subscription, Menutech creates credits for the unused time period over the remaining menus and templates.
You will have 12 - 1 = 11 menu credits added on your account, valid until February 1st. On February 1st, the subscription Mini will renew itself.
